After posting this review I was contacted by Sulgencia at SecureSpace Self Storage who was very interested and concerned by my experience. He had already investigated my claims and was prepared to resolve the outstanding issues. He gave me a credit to cover the stop check fee & an additional credit for the inconvenience. He was attentive, apologetic and clearly related what the storage fees would be going forward and committed to working with me upon my return to California to resolve a facility issue. I was very pleased with the timeliness of their response, their professionalism and dedication to providing quality service. this facility for past 9 years. Was always very pleased until new ownership, 2 months ago. Started being harassed for payment, which was not late but went to previous owner because I was never notified of change in ownership. Finally resolved. Then another check got stolen during a breakin of their office. They notified me that my check was stolen and advised that I should stop payment on the check and rewrite another one. They refused to credit me the $30 stop check fee and employee after employee referred the issue to management who never called me back. I paid the next month less $30 and now they are harassing me about that and said the rates went up by $40 without any prior notification. I spoke to Bob who said I wasn’t notified of the increase because they didn’t have my email address. The new price he quoted me is not consistent with the advertised price. I’m not in California, but will move my belongings as soon as possible. In just the last 2 months I’ve had these issues and more. The roller door on my unit came off the track, they told me it would take weeks for someone to come out and fix it. I was in Calif. for 3 wks and wasn’t able to access my belonging before returning to my residence outside of Calif.

If you cancel in the middle of a billing cycle, the service will remain active until the end of the cycle, and no further charges will be made. We do ask that if you are moving out, you give us at least 10 days notice before the end of the current month's rental period, as stated in the rental agreement. For detailed information, please refer to our cancellation policy in your lease.
How long does it take to process a refund?
Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days if refunding to a credit card. If you are expecting a refund by check, please note that it may take up to three weeks to receive the check by mail. If you do not receive your refund within the expected period, please contact our customer support team for assistance.
